SNAPPIER SERVER END USER LICENCE AGREEMENT Version 1.1 — 1 September 2026 Copyright (c) 2025-2026 Sarah Bainbridge. All rights reserved. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ IMPORTANT — READ THIS BEFORE INSTALLING ------------------------------------------------------------------------ This agreement is between you and Sarah Bainbridge ("we", "us", "our"), the author of Snappier Server (the "Software"). By downloading, installing or using the Software, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not install or use the Software, and delete any copy you hold. The Software is supplied free of charge. It is not sold, no fee is required for the licence granted below, and it is free to download. It is the companion server for the Snappier IPTV app and works only with that app, not with other IPTV players. An active Snappier IPTV subscription is therefore what makes the Software useful. That is a practical matter rather than a condition of this licence: this agreement does not require you to hold a subscription, and we do not disable, expire or withdraw software that is already installed. A copy you hold stays licensed to you under this agreement for as long as you comply with it. 1. WHAT YOU MAY DO 1.1 We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and run the Software on any number of computers that you own or control, for as long as you comply with this agreement. 1.2 The licence covers use for your own purposes, including use within a business or organisation for its own internal needs. 1.3 You may make copies of the Software for backup purposes only. 2. WHAT YOU MAY NOT DO Except where clause 3 says otherwise, you may not: 2.1 redistribute, publish, mirror, upload, share, sell, rent, lease, sub-licence or otherwise make the Software available to anyone else — whether on its own, repackaged, or bundled inside another download. Direct people to https://snappierserver.app instead; 2.2 charge any fee for the Software, or supply it as an inducement to buy anything else; 2.3 use the Software as a component, backend or engine of any product or service that you offer to third parties, whether or not you charge for it; 2.4 operate the Software as a hosted, shared or multi-tenant service for people outside your own household or organisation; 2.5 modify, adapt, translate or create derivative works of the Software, or decompile, disassemble or otherwise reverse engineer it; 2.6 attempt to circumvent, disable or interfere with any integrity, verification or protection mechanism in the Software or in its release process; 2.7 remove, obscure or alter any copyright, trade mark or other notice in the Software or its documentation, this file included; or 2.8 use the Snappier or Snappier Server names, logos or branding to promote anything of your own, or in any way that suggests we supply, endorse or support it. 3. RIGHTS THIS AGREEMENT DOES NOT AFFECT 3.1 Nothing in this agreement restricts any right you hold under mandatory law that cannot be excluded by contract — in particular the rights to decompile the Software for interoperability purposes, and to observe, study and test it, under Articles 5 and 6 of Directive 2009/24/EC and equivalent national law. 3.2 Clause 2 applies to the Software itself. It does not apply to, and does not purport to restrict what you may do with, the separate third-party programs distributed alongside the Software. Those are licensed to you under their own terms — see clause 9. 3.3 If you are a consumer, this agreement does not affect your statutory rights. 4. ACCEPTABLE USE 4.1 The Software supplies no content of any kind. It ships with no playlists, no credentials and no sources. Everything it lists, plays, records or downloads comes from sources that you configure yourself. 4.2 You are responsible for holding a lawful subscription or licence for every source you configure, and for complying with copyright, broadcasting and data protection law in your jurisdiction. 4.3 You may not use the Software with any source you are not authorised to access, nor to copy, retain or share content you have no right to. 4.4 If you hold rights in content and believe the Software is being used in breach of them, write to support@snappieriptv.app. We respond to properly formed notices and act on them. 5. OWNERSHIP The Software is licensed, not sold. We and our licensors retain all right, title and interest in it, including all intellectual property rights. You acquire no rights in the Software other than the licence expressly granted in clause 1. 6. UPDATES, RELEASES AND PRE-RELEASE BUILDS 6.1 The Software periodically requests a signed release manifest from https://snappierserver.app so that it can tell you when a newer version exists. That request sends nothing about you, your configuration or your use of the Software, and no update is installed without your action. 6.2 Every release is published with a SHA-256 hash and a detached minisign signature. A copy that fails verification against the published signature is not a copy we released, and this licence does not cover it. 6.3 Beta and other pre-release builds are supplied for evaluation. They may be incomplete or unstable, may change without notice, and may be withdrawn. Clauses 7 and 8 apply to them with particular force. 6.4 We are under no obligation to provide updates, support or any future version of the Software. 7. NO WARRANTY THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OR CONDITION OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, SATISFACTORY QUALITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, THAT IT IS COMPATIBLE WITH ANY PARTICULAR SYSTEM, NETWORK SETUP, SOURCE OR THIRD-PARTY SERVICE, OR THAT ANY RECORDING OR DOWNLOAD WILL START, COMPLETE OR BE RETAINED. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN BACKUPS. 8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY 8.1 NOTHING IN THIS AGREEMENT EXCLUDES OR LIMITS OUR LIABILITY FOR DEATH OR PERSONAL INJURY CAUSED BY NEGLIGENCE, FOR FRAUD OR FRAUDULENT MISREPRESENTATION, OR FOR ANY OTHER LIABILITY THAT CANNOT LAWFULLY BE EXCLUDED OR LIMITED. 8.2 SUBJECT TO CLAUSE 8.1, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL LOSS, NOR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, RECORDINGS, PROFIT, REVENUE, BUSINESS OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SOFTWARE OR THIS AGREEMENT, HOWEVER CAUSED. 8.3 SUBJECT TO CLAUSE 8.1, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SOFTWARE OR THIS AGREEMENT SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (a) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SOFTWARE, WHICH IS NIL, AND (b) GBP 50. 8.4 You accept that the Software is supplied free of charge and that clauses 7 and 8 are a reasonable allocation of risk on that basis. 9. THIRD-PARTY COMPONENTS 9.1 The Software is distributed together with separate third-party programs and libraries. They remain the property of their own authors and are licensed to you under their own terms, not under this agreement. Where those terms conflict with this agreement, those terms prevail for that component. 9.2 Two of them are free software licensed under the GNU General Public Licence, distributed with the Software as independent executables that it invokes as separate processes: * FFmpeg (ffmpeg, ffprobe) — GNU General Public Licence v3 or later. Bundled with the Windows and macOS builds. Not bundled on Linux, where you install it yourself. * Comskip (comskip) — GNU General Public Licence v2 or later. Bundled with the Windows, macOS and Linux builds. 9.3 You may use, copy, modify and redistribute those two programs under the terms of their respective licences, independently of this agreement. Clause 2 does not limit that right in any way. 9.4 Source code. The complete corresponding source for both programs is available as described in THIRD_PARTY_LICENSES.txt, distributed with the Software and published at https://snappierserver.app. In addition, for a period of three years from your receipt of this copy, we will on written request to support@snappieriptv.app supply the complete corresponding machine-readable source code for those programs, on a medium customarily used for software interchange, for no more than our reasonable cost of physically performing the distribution. 9.5 The remaining third-party components, their versions and their licences — which are permissive — are listed in THIRD_PARTY_LICENSES.txt. 10. TERM AND TERMINATION 10.1 This licence takes effect when you first download or install the Software and continues until terminated. 10.2 It terminates automatically if you breach any term of it. We may also terminate it on notice if we discontinue the Software. 10.3 On termination you must stop using the Software and delete every copy you hold. Clauses 4.2, 5, 7, 8, 9 and 11 survive termination. 10.4 Termination of this licence does not terminate your licence to the third-party components described in clause 9, which end only under their own terms. 11. GENERAL 11.1 Governing law. This agreement, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with it, is governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], and the courts of [JURISDICTION] have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections of your own country's law and may bring proceedings there. 11.2 Entire agreement. This file, together with the acceptable-use and privacy terms published at https://snappierserver.app, is the entire agreement between us in relation to the Software and supersedes anything said or written beforehand. 11.3 Severance. If any provision is held unenforceable, it is modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or struck out if that is not possible, and the rest of the agreement continues in force. 11.4 No waiver. A delay or failure by us in enforcing any term is not a waiver of it. 11.5 Changes. We may issue revised terms with a future release. The version distributed with a given release governs your use of that release; you are not bound by revised terms until you install a release carrying them. 11.6 Contact. support@snappieriptv.app
